Maximum diversity

Today I read about building J2EE Applications with WSAD v5.0, then saw a webcast about Websphere Portlet Builder for Domino, followed by a TechNet article on .NET for IT Professionals, then I had a look at a sample ASP.NET Time Tracking application, and topped it up with some XML Web Services just to make it interesting… Arggg! my head is spinning!

I think a webcast on Garbology would be appropriate right about now.

Hi Chris, I have learnt .NET in the last month (as part of my current Contract).. it sure is different to Notes! I just completed a COM DLL which interfaces from simple VBS script to an XML Web Service (running on a Java Server).

It takes a while to get the hand of the Object Orientated structure to .NET, I like the way you can code in VB or C++ or like anything else that takes your fancy..

Well, nuff said.. just dropping in for my 2 cents..

No doubt .NET is powerfull; I did lots of VB/ASP and COM a few years back when I was working for Spectrum. Eventually, it will be decision all of us developers will have to make; either .NET or J2EE.

    Thanks for dropping in Jason!
