Deskstar becomes Deathstar
My 60GB IBM Deskstar Hard drive started loosing power whenever it felt like it, so I had no option but to buy a new HD today - I bought an 80GB Western Digital (you know, the ones with the 8MB buffer). I quick ‘Ghost’ from drive to drive (whilst the old one still worked) and voila, back in business. Initial impression of the WD drive are: Faster, quieter, bigger, and all that for just $145.
