NASA’s second Mars Exploration Rover, Opportunity was finally launched today. Opportunity will join it’s twin rover, Spirit, and a host of other rovers and probes, talking advantage of this year’s rare opposition of Mars which brings it closer that it has ever been in recorded human history.
This means only one thing; I need to upgrade to better more powerful eyepieces for the telescope to ensure I see every possible detail on the red planet (at least when the sky is clear). I’m looking to get a 9mm Vixen Lanthanum which I’ve read good reviews of.

With the plethora of n-tier emerging technologies what’s a technologist like myself to do with only one machine? Either run everything on the same box, build a network at home (although I don’t fancy myself as a part-time network admin guy) or maybe get one of these little boxes. Sure, not a IBM e-server by any means, but with the right CPU it can be a winner.
