Not enough fans

I must admit; when your PC already sounds like a fleet of Black Hawk helicopters taking off, the last thing you need is more fans. However, the continuous obsession with heat prevails in the end… so I ordered a Vantec Iceberq chipset cooler for the Northbridge and a Zalman heatsink for the southbridge (they both get very hot, but only the Northbridge has a crappy heatsink but no fan).

I also ordered some Arctic Alumina thermal epoxy to keep things together. Bought all of these from below-0, through express post, and I had them in my hands the very next day.

I agree that a pc can sound like a fleet of black hawks, but to have your (4) 80mm fans at full throtle and see your case move 30cm across the floor only to be stopped by the cables at the rear is frightning.
By the way Chris, the cpu fan is a thermaltake P4 spark7 incase you are wondering.

After a little while your brain gets accustomed to the noise (and vibration). Apparently for Ange, the noise actually puts her to sleep (which gives me more gaming time, err, I mean development time…
