We’ll be seeing much more of Workplace Services Express; seems like a very polished product indeed. Lots happening in the IBM/Lotus world at the moment so no doubt we’ll hear/see some of that on the Lotusphere Comes to You event on March 2 in Melbourne.

For the ultimate data destruction (eg when replacing a hard disk or decommissioning a machine) simply formatting the hard disk(s) doesn’t (completely) remove your data; someone determined enough could retrieve your files you thought were gone forever… Darik’s Boot and Nuke is a bootable floppy that securely wipes hard disks and completely deletes the contents. It supports many international wipe standards like the American DoD 5220-22.M and the Gutmann Wipe; after using Boot and Nuke on a hard disk you can be rest assured the data is gone for good (so use it wisely!).

Ever wanted to experience landing on the moon just like the astronauts of Apollo 11 did? The Eagle Lander 3D is an authentic simulation of the Apollo lunar landings and includes high resolutions of the lunar surface, accurate primary flight instruments and renditions of the Lunar Module and much more; Listening to the original radio communications makes it all very realistic!
Another great space sim is Orbiter, a free and totally amazing 3D space simulator that features everything from launching the Space Shuttle from Kennedy Space Center to deploying a satellite in orbit, catching up with International Space Station or travelling through the solar system. It’s so accurate and realistic you’ll start having a real appreciation on the complexities involved with getting into space. Not to mention all the addons and mods available for this great space sim; it’s a bit like the GPL community but for space buffs!
